malang, 09.08.2009: the party, part two

The finale :) It was fun, relaxing, jazzy, loads of laughter, meeting many many people I have not seen for years. It was how it meant to be: a lunch arranged by my parents to announce and be grateful for our wedding back in february in Italy. We did not have chance to share it with all my big  big family (when I said big, it really is big, something like 30 aunties and uncle, 100 cousins) and my parents’ business friends, my parents’ friends, and few of my friends (could not really organise the invitation, the fever ruined everything, sorry friends). Anyway, we did it! Uffff…four days of parties and dinners is killing, but we did it :)

I was very doubtful I could wake up at 6 am for the make up, but I was woken up by hunger pang at 5 :) This was in our hotel, a small boutique hotel in Malang, peaceful place, very nice. I will definately stay here again in the future.

Chunchun, the make up artist, also the friend of my sister, arrived at our suite at 6.30 and by 08.00 we finished. The florist delivered my hand bouquet,the flowers hand bands I ordered for the girls and the corsage for the boys.

At 09.00 sharp, Ivan from Princess event planner, (the event planner the helped us all the way) came to our hotel, making sure we are on schedule. We left the hotel at 09.30, straight to our lunch venue at Taman Indie where all big family waiting for us to do the pai ciu (a chinese tradition, to ask for blessing and pay respect to the elder people)

At 11.15, we were all prepared, the paradigma band started to play the jazzy tunes, all food ready, all waiters at the or station,  the guests started to arrive…bring it on! :)

I could not help it, I had to take photos too! :)

I actually ordered the cake’s dolls to be a lot smaller…don’t know how they ended up so big :) tim abit of tim burton style too :) but it was delicious! It was made by Mrs. Ratna, from Ratna bakery. I chosed four layers of chocolate cakes, with different filling in each layer: chocolate cream, strawberry jam and fresh cream. Yum!

The buffet with all typical food of Malang, loads of yum food but I was too busy greeting the people, in the end, I only ate white rice with strir fry broccoli (few food left after all the guest were gone)

Really like the flowers and decoration from the Kharisma florist, all fresh flowers and beautiful arrangement.

The party had finished, the girl with the white dress returned back home, with black car, men in black and little black camera ;)
