September 8th, 2009

Is my cookie too small or is my tea cup too big? :) Made this yesterday, my first reaction was on the first bite was: hmmm…it is ONLY ok, the second bite: ow, it is quite good :) the third bite: I don’t think I can stop eating this :))) Made with four kind of flours: whole wheat+all purpose+organic red rice+oat (both we made at home)

the dough :)

Making 1 cm balls from the dough, making mess too, of course :P

And the ants were happy too with my mess :)

two tiny tiny spoon I ‘knicked’ from garuda indonesia during our flight back home :) Marco was like: what would you use that for? Me:…boh :) I will find out later :)))

Now they don’t look that small, don’t they :)

Four Flour Cookies

Makes a lot of cute tiny cookies!

50 gram whole wheat flour

50 gram all purpose flour

50 gram organic red rice flour

50 gram oat meal

1 organic egg

75 gram butter, melted

1 vanilla, scrap the seeds

1 tsp aluminum free baking powder

pinch of salt

75 ml organic honey (if you are in Indonesia, get the madu tawon liar :)

mango jam, or any jam you like

Preheat the oven to 190C

Sift and mix all dry ingredients, set aside

Mix the melted butter and honey, add to the dry ingredients, mix with hand until fully combined

Make 1 cm balls from the dough, then flatten a bit and make a tiny hole in the middle and fill with the jam

Bake for 8-10 minutes

I love to have them with ceylon ratnapura tea or mint tea or they are great with milk too :)
