June 26th, 2013
I thought I could just be tired and sad for a long long long time, but I forgot that basically I have a very high ’survival’ capability in my very own subtle and reserved way. But one thing I learned about what has happened is: stop fighting, just feel in peace and get along with myself, people and the universe.
So, many things have happened since that day I felt miserable for myself.
First, Lula is finally in production under the brand of…Eva Natasa. I am feeling soooooooo….embarrassed to see all those logo and branding with my own name! I guess as industrial designer I am too used to hide behind the scene.
And starting from June 8th, 2013 Lula is available at HOME MATE, a concept store and cafe in Jalan Petitenget 1A, Bali, Seminyak.
This store, in their own words: “HOME MATE is a lifestyle concept tailored for the homes and the neighbourhood. Our philosophy is that product & design is meant to be purposeful, thoughtful and well made.”
I am so happy to see Lula table and stool mingling happily with other chairs and stools.
Then after that, I got invited to speak at Pecha Kucha night in Ubud organised by a cool co-working space Hubud. Public speaking—>one of my biggest fear. I mean I’ve done so many presentation to my clients, but it’s kind of different to speak in front of more than 200 audience that I don’t know. I was very nervous but in the end it went rather well!

And I did a face to face interview with the famous Maarten Baas. And the article was out in Elle Decoration Indonesia May edition!
And also my interview with Nadya Hutagalung in April edition. Such an inspiring woman!
Now I am busy developing fabric for my homeware collection, all made from local materials and organic plant dye.
Wow that’s a lot of things! Really didn’t think June will be like this when I started this month. But, in the end, I am grateful that I am able to let go of the bad things that have happened to me and also, I feel so grateful of many good things that have happened to me and to have my friends and family around.
